Two adventerous tree climbs at Bassenfell Manor Christian Centre: choose between 'Treemendous' and 'Jacobs Ladder'. This is a great group activity, with each participant encouraged to challenge themselves. A qualified instructor ensures you are safe throughout.
8m 'Treemendous': You will wear a helmet and sit harness and be securely attached before climbing a ladder onto climbing holds on the tree. Ascend as high as you can to the top of the climb – about 8 metres high. You are kept safe by your team belaying you at ground level under the watchful eye of your instructor. Two separate routes (so two people can climb at the same time), with several variations on each route.
18m 'Jacobs Ladder': How many bells can you ring? There are three bells positioned up this 18 metre climb, so you can mark your progress up the tree. Climb as high as you can using the natural branches. If you're able to get upto the canopy you'll have great views of Bassenthwaite Lake and the Lake District from the top. There are two seperate routes for you to climb.
Approximate session time: 1 hour to 1 ½ hours. Cost of session: £6 per person. Minimum of 5 people.
