For those who are confident paddlers wanting to progress onto the sea, and for sea kayakers wanting to explore the Cumbrian coast. We meet at Bassenfell at 1pm on Monday for an afternoon lake session, then there’ll be 4 guided day trips on the sea including coaching from Andy and Mike. Weather permitting, a trip across the Solway Firth, and to the St Bees cliffs will be on the programme, and sessions to improve your knowledge. Sea kayaks provided. This will be the sixth year of running this excellent holiday.
"It has been amazing to have the opportunity to explore the cumbria coast based in the stunning location of Bassenfell. The course was expertly led by Andy and Mike. I have seen cliffs, gannets, commorants, seals and guillimots in vast numbers from a very stable boat, and gained confidence in various sea and wind conditions. It has been brilliant; many thanks to the whole team" View some photos of previous 'Sea Kayak Cumbria' holidays

Sea Kayak Scottish Isles 26 September - 2 October 2015 (Sat - Fri) £395 view images
Western Scotland is our destination, based near Oban. We will meet on the Saturday for an evening meal at our superb 4 star accommodation which is on the coast, then have five days paddling including a wild camp. This holiday is for people who already know they enjoy sea kayaking, and who want to explore! The accommodation is booked from the Friday, so there is option to arrive early!
It really is a great sea kayaking area with lots of islands, open sea and sounds to explore. There are many options of trips, so we will make the most of the winds and tides.
2015 will be our fourth year at Ardmaddy. Past participants wrote: “Thanks so much for a really brilliant 5 days. It was a super group in a fantastic place with great leaders and wonderful sea kayaking! We both learnt a lot, and look forward to improving further!” Ant and Sarah “Well organised, splitting the group sometimes gave everyone the opportunity to stretch themselves a bit more if they wanted to.” Esther “Great wisdom was delivered in a very friendly and low key manner. The leaders had a very pro-active approach, ensuring that everyone was within their comfort zone, with safety a prime consideration.” Steve “It had everything I was looking for: time to relax, think, blow the cobwebs away (may be that was the wind) and have a laugh with great company. Being able to get on the water for four consecutive days was just what I needed so thank you for all the effort to get us out despite the weather conditions."
