Travel Directions

When travelling to Bassenfell Manor Christian Centre, please do not enter the postcode on internet map sites or satellite navigation systems. Due to the rural nature of Bassenthwaite, these will not lead you to Bassenfell Manor and you will get lost.

From the M6

1. From junction 40 of the M6 take the A66 towards Keswick and Cockermouth.
2. Do not turn off for Keswick.
3. At the A66/A591 roundabout take the A591 north towards Carlisle for about 8 miles.
4. Continue on the A591 past a turn for Bassenthwaite village on the right and Trafford Caravan Park on the left.
5. Take the first turn right after crossing a hump backed bridge into North Row (Bassenfell Manor is sign posted).
6. After 50 yards turn left up the drive to Bassenfell Manor (Bassenfell Manor is sign posted again).
7. If you reach the Castle Inn, you have gone too far!

From Carlisle

1. From Carlisle follow the A595 towards Workington.
2. At the A595/A596 junction continue on the A595 (signed Cockermouth).
3. After a further 12 miles, turn left on the A591 (signed Keswick).
4. After a further 5 miles, pass the Castle Inn on your right and turn second left into North Row (Bassenfell Manor is sign posted).
5. After 50 yards turn left up the drive to Bassenfell Manor (Bassenfell Manor is sign posted again).
